This piece took best of show at the Museum of Wisconsin Art member’s show a few years ago. I’ve had requests to build several more since then. The woods are Tiger Maple and Ziricote.

Music Stand for my Granddaughter

My granddaughter Jessica is an outstanding violinist. So a while ago I thought I’d try to build her a music stand. this is the end result. It’s primary wood is Ribbon Sapele. The hardware came from my supply of jig and fixture parts.

Had a great time as a featured artist on INSP TV’s Handcrafted America program. It first aired April of 2016, but has been repeated periodically. Quarter-sawn Sycamore Jewelry Box

I was fortunate to get several wide QS Sycamore board with color going from light to dark across the board. Combining that with Purpleheart accent trim, and a Zebrawood lid panel resulted in what I thought was a really neat and striking bo4 drawer sapele pagoda with lid closed frontx. 4 drawer sycamore and purpleheart open
